DE EN Which plants can withstand heat and long periods of drought? Which plants are ecologically valuable because they require little water? These and similar questions are being asked by more and more people throughout the industry, as well as consumers. We investigated this question and had the Selecta B&B range tested for drought tolerance at the Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Gartenbau (LVG) in Heidelberg in the summer of 2020. The result was a broad selection of varieties from our range that scored good to very good in the “Overall impression” and “Irreversible plant damage” criteria, even with half the usual amount of watering over the summer. These include delosperma, portulaca, sedum types, summer phlox and lantanas. But various pelargoniums, calibrachoa and pot carnations also withstood the drought test, performing particularly well. We then developed an attention-grabbing marketing concept for drought tolerance and heat resistance. With its catchy and attention-grabbing key visual, the Planta Morgana selection comprises a range of drought-tolerant plants that cope well to very well even in increasingly dry summers with little rainfall. With the usual marketing materials such as posters, banners, labels and printed pots, we are bringing the topic to retailers and end customers. The test programme will be continued on an ongoing basis. Welche P anzen überstehen Hitze und langanhaltende Trockenperioden? Welche P anzen sind ökologisch wertvoll, weil sie wenig Wasser benötigen? Diese und ähnliche Fragen beschä igen immer mehr Menschen in der gesamten Branche und auch Verbraucher. Wir sind dieser Frage nachgegangen und haben bei der Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Gartenbau (LVG) in Heidelberg im Sommer 2020 das Selecta B&B Sortiment auf Trockenheitstoleranz testen lassen. Herausgekommen sind verschiedene Sorten aus unserem Sortiment, die in den Kriterien „Gesamteindruck“ und „Irreversible P anzenschäden“ auch bei der Häl e der üblichen Gießmenge über den Sommer hinweg sehr gut bis gut abgeschnitten haben. Zbadaliśmy tę kwestię: latem 2020 roku przeprowadziliśmy w Instytucie Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Gartenbau (LVG) w Heidelbergu testy tolerancji na suszę roślin Selecta B&B. Dzięki odpowiednim materiałom marketingowym, takim jak plakaty, banery, etykiety i donice z nadrukiem, przybliżamy ten temat zarówno handlowcom, jak i klientom końcowym. We hebben deze kwestie nader onderzocht en in de zomer van 2020 ons Selecta B&B assortiment bij het LVG (proefstation voor de tuinbouw) in Heidelberg laten testen op hun tolerantie tegen droogte. Gebleken is dat verschillende soorten uit ons assortiment met betrekking tot de criteria “algemene indruk” en “onherroepelijke schade aan de plant” ook bij de hel van de gebruikelijke hoeveelheid gietwater gedurende de zomer zeer goede tot goede resultaten lieten zien. Hiertoe behoren o.a. Delosperma, Portulaca, Sedum soorten, zomer ox en de Lantana. Maar ook diverse pelargoniumsoorten, Calibrachoa en potanjers waren bestand tegen droogte en hadden een goede performance. In aansluiting hierop hebben we een aandacht trekkend marketingconcept ontwikkeld met betrekking tot droogtetolerantie en hittebestendigheid. Onder de benaming Planta Morgana, met de trefzekere en in het oog vallende Key Visual, presenteren we een assortiment droogtetolerante planten dat zelfs in steeds drogere zomers met weinig neerslag goed tot zeer goed scoort. Met het hiervoor ontwikkelde marketingmateriaal zoals a ches, advertentiebanners, etiketten en potten met opdruk brengen we het thema in de handel en onder de aandacht van de consument. Het testprogramma wordt continu voortgezet.
